| So this takes place just after Samantha and Jade move into the apartment that they are living in together at Gothan U. They have just finished moving in their stuff and unpacking the last of the boxes.
Samantha: *sighs and plops down on the couch* thank God we are finally done. Moving in took forever. Jade: *plops down next to Samantha and grabs the remote* I think that I am not going to move off of this couch for a month. Samantha: We don’t have butlers anymore which means that you will have to get up if you don’t want to starve. Jade: *glares at Samantha* Samantha: What’s on tv? Anything good? Jade: I’m watching cartoons. Samantha: *after a few minutes of silence* Did you meet Kurt’s roommate yet? Jade: I’ve seen him but I haven’t actually met him yet. Samantha: Eric’s a nice guy. Jade: I have to say props to him for agreeing to live with Kurt. Samantha: *makes a face at Jade* Jade: *ignores Samantha* We should go clubbing later. Samantha: Its been a while since we’ve gone. Paparazzi friendly or free club? Jade: Paparazzi free. I don’t feel like dealing with any of them tonight. Samantha: Just us or a group of sorts? Jade: I guess we can bring Kurt along with us as long as you agree to ignore him for part of the night and hang with me. Samantha: That wasn’t what I was going for but ok. We should have him drag Eric along so you have someone to talk to when I am distracted by Kurt. *knock on the door* Jade: I am not moving. Samantha: Which means that I am getting it. *gets up and goes and opens the door.* Kurt: Hey Samantha: Hi Jade: *from the couch* you and your roomie are going clubbing with us tonight. Be ready to leave at 8:30 Kurt: Um…ok Jade: Now get out. It’s girls only vegging. Oh, wait, never mind. That means you can stay. Kurt: *sticks his tongue out at Jade* Samantha: *quietly* behave *smiles* Kurt: I guess I’ll see you later then. *gives Samantha a quick kiss* Samantha: Bye *closes the door and grabs two bottles of coke from the fridge before going and plopping back down on the couch.* Cheers *she tosses one of the bottles of coke at Jade *a couple of hours later* Samantha: I think that I am finally ready. My hair took forever. Jade: *puts on a little lip gloss* Me too. Am I driving or are you? Samantha: I can drive. Ready to go get the boys? Jade: Yup. Let’s go. *the girls exit their apartment and make their way down the guys apartment below their. The girls knock on the door and wait for the guys to answer* *tag, you're it* - Mood:lazy

| “How and why does this always seem to happen to me?” Samantha asked herself moments after waking up in an empty room, some sort of makeshift prison cell. “You’d think with all my training and what I spend half my time doing, I’d have figured out how to not get myself in these situations.” Samantha tried to remember what had happened exactly, but couldn’t. The last thing she remembered was dress shopping with Jade. She didn’t remember anything past trying a couple of dresses for the movie premier that they were going to later on that month. A headache soon developed when Samantha tried to move. It was one of those that sent waves of pain down your whole body every time you moved. Samantha laid on the floor hoping that the pain would subside. “I must have been drugged,” she thought, “or knocked out with a pretty nasty blow. It’s the only reason that I can think of for this headache.” Samantha felt herself losing consciousness again. She slipped into the darkness hoping that it would bring relief to her intensely throbbing head. Samantha had no idea how long she had been unconscious when she came to. The intense pain and throbbing that had been there before had been reduced to a dull ache. Samantha scooted herself over to the wall and used it to sit up. She positioned herself so that she was leaning against the wall. After a deep breath, she started to survey the room. The walls were very plain and contained nothing that would help to identify where she was. The only distinct feature on them was the door, which was one that could be bought at any hardware store. The single light in the ceiling was the only source of light in the room. There was no light switch in the room and no windows. The room was void of everything save Samantha and a bucket in the corner which she assumed was for relieving herself when Mother Nature called. Time seemed to be moving slowly, but Samantha couldn’t be sure as to how much time was actually passing. She had no watch, phone, or clock. Samantha had no idea how much time had passed since her abduction. The growling of her stomach told her that it had at least been a couple of hours. She had Jade had hit the food court at the mall between a couple of the dress shops that they visited. Thinking of Jade made Samantha wonder if anyone had realized that she was missing. She had no idea where she had been or who she was with when she was taken. It wouldn’t surprise her if Jade, Kurt, and Ryan hadn’t already organized a city wide search for her. “At least this kidnapper is feeding me hallucinogens like the last one did,” she thought. “That’s one experience that I don’t want to go through again.” ~~~ Kurt was sitting in his room actually working on homework when someone started pounding on the door. Slightly annoyed, he went to see who was there, not expecting it to be Jade. “We have a problem,” she said entering the apartment before Kurt had a chance to say anything. “Well hello Jade,” Kurt said to the empty doorway. “Come right in.” “Get your stuff,” Jade said ignoring his sarcasm. “You’re coming with me.” “I have a girlfriend already thank you very much,” Kurt replied. “You aren’t enough to even tempt me to cheat on her.” “Your girlfriend is missing,” Jade said. “Just because she isn’t talking to you right now doesn’t mean that she’s disappeared,” Kurt responded. “She’s probably just sick of talking to you.” “I am being serious and obviously care about her more that you,” Jade said, her impatience and annoyance evident in her voice. “She disappeared while we were out shopping and no, she didn’t just leave to get away from me. Had she done that, she would have taken her purse which contained her wallet, phone, jacket, and very expensive dress that she had just bought with her and not left it all in a pile in the middle of the store.” “Did you check the security feeds?” Kurt asked, suddenly serious. “The camera weren’t working in the store,” Jade said. “They broke last week and the repairman hasn’t made it out to store to fix them yet.” “Has anyone talked to her dad or Ryan yet?” “Neither one has heard from her since early this morning,” Jade answered, “and no demands have been made either.” “Did you talk to Traci to see if she can find anything?” Kurt asked. “Not yet, it’s on my list of things to do.” “Where were you when she disappeared?” “We were trying dresses on at Rogue,” Jade answered. “Let’s go,” Kurt said grabbing his jacket. “You call Traci and I’ll get Jamie.” ~~~ It seemed like Samantha had been sitting in the tiny room forever before someone finally came into the room. The guy was stupidly not wearing a mask so Samantha made sure to memorize his face. “I’m sure that you’ve already figured out by now that you’ve been kidnapped,” the guy said. “You will be kept here as out leverage until your father agrees to pay a tidy sum of money. He is being contacted right now. If he wants to talk to you, the only thing you will tell him is ‘hi’ and that you are being treated ok for the moment. We’re being nice enough hosts right now, but we are impatient people and you will not want us to get angry.” ~~~ Bruce was making his way to the bat cave to go and aid the search for Samantha Jameson when he was stopped by Alfred. “I think you are going to want to take this call, sir,” he said handing him the phone. “Bruce Wayne,” he said into the phone. “Good afternoon, Mr. Wayne,” a man said. “Not meaning to sound short,” Bruce said, “but can you skip the pleasantries and cut to the chase. I am on my way to a meeting that I cannot be late for.” “You have the time for this,” the guy told him. “We have your daughter and will continue to hold her hostage until our demands are met.” Bruce was slightly confused. He had just talked to Jade a few minutes ago to get an update on how the search was going. “We want a payment of 5 million dollars in exchange for your daughter.” “I am not going to do anything until I talk to her first,” Bruce said. “One moment,” the guy said. There were some muffled noises before a girl’s voice came onto the line. “Dad?” she asked. “Samantha?” Bruce asked confused. “Mr. Wayne?” Samantha asked. “Why are you on the phone instead of my dad?” Bruce heard a bunch of shuffling in the background. “You’re not Jade Wayne?” He heard the guy ask. “What idiots,” Bruce thought. “How does anyone mix up Jade and Samantha?” ~~~ “You’re not Jade Wayne!?” The guy asked pulling the phone away from Samantha’s ear. “No, I am not Jade Wayne,” Samantha said. “How could you mix us up? We look nothing alike.” The guy hung up the phone and left the room leaving Samantha standing there without answering her question. “What idiots,” she thought. ~~~ “How does anyone mix us up?” Jade asked when Bruce told her of his conversation with the kidnappers. “We look nothing alike and have both been in the tabloids enough for most people at least have some idea of who we are.” “Well, they weren’t smart enough to get a burn phone either,” Bruce told her. “They are tracking the phone now. We should know where she is in a matter of minutes. Get ready to roll.” Jade hung up the phone and then called Jamie so he could get ready to go. She then called Ryan to let him know what was going on. She didn’t bother calling Kurt, figuring that he would hear from Ryan anyway. About twenty minutes later, Batman, Knight, Jamie, and a few others along with half the Gotham City police force pulled up in front of the building where Samantha was being held. It was an abandoned house. The masks went in first with the police officers making a perimeter around the building. They found a group of four guys standing in a room arguing amongst themselves. Samantha was in the walk in closet that adjoined the room. The police took the four guys to the police station and Samantha to the hospital just to be safe where she met her dad, Ryan, Kurt and the press. The first three went inside with Samantha while the others had to wait outside. Jade showed up a little while after Samantha had entered and finagled herself inside. “So apparently we’re twins now,” Jade said to Samantha when she finally got to see her. “I don’t get how those idiots got away with taking me in the first place,” Samantha said. “Although I don’t remember it so I don’t know.” “Well one of the guy’s sister worked at Rogue and she slipped something in the drink that they gave you,” Jade explained. “Apparently it was supposed to go to me but she mixed up who asked for what which is why you got dosed and I didn’t. She had let her brother into the store before going to keep me busy in the changing room long enough for her brother and his pals to get you and get away.” “So she couldn’t tell us apart either?” Samantha asked. “I think that she assumed that her brother or one of his friends would figure out that they had one billionaire’s daughter instead of the other.” “I guess that’s what you get for assuming,” Samantha said. “I love stupid criminals,” Kurt commented. “They are so easy to catch.” “Which is why we caught you so fast,” Jade commented. Kurt stuck his tongue out at Jade. “You walked right into that one,” Samantha told him. He stuck his tongue out at her too. “How stupid am I?” He asked. “I may have been caught but I was never arrested. I now have a great girlfriend and am associated with two very wealthy girls. I don’t think that I’m the stupid one at all.” Kurt kissed Samantha, gave Jade a little slug, avoided her retaliation, and then said “ha” as he walked out of the room. | |

| It had been three weeks since the break up and Samantha still hadn't talked to Kurt. Everyone was being so nice about it but Samantha couldn't help but feel as if something was missing. She found that she was more sad than she usually was. Though Jade and Ryan tried, Kurt was always the one who knew how to make Samantha feel better when she was feeling down. Samantha was walking down the streets of downtown Gotham, completely lost in thought when she bumped into someone, literally. "I am so sorry," she said turning towards the person, "I was..." Samantha stopped talking when she saw who it was. "Hi," Kurt said brushing off his jacket sleeve. "Hi," Samantha replied. The two stood there in an awkward silence for a moment. "How've you been doing?" Samantha asked when she could no longer take the silence. "I've been ok," Kurt answered. "You?" "About the same as usuall," Samantha replied. There was another awkward silence. "Can we go somewhere a little more private to talk?" she asked, suddenly feeling a little self conscious of herself. "Please." The two walked in silence down the street, each trying to think of what to say to the other. "I was thinking about you the other day," Samantha told Kurt. She had actually been thinking about him pretty much everyday, but she wasn't going to admit that just yet. "Oh really," Kurt replied. "Can I ask what made you think of me?" "I found that I was feeling sad," Samantha answered. She couldn't quite read the look on Kurt's face when she said that, but she could see that he didn't really like it. "When I am sad, you are the only one who can get me laughing again. I missed having you there to make me smile." "I thought you said that I need to, and I quote, 'stop acting like a hyperactive toddler and take life seriously'," Kurt said. "Actually, it was 'would it kill you to stop acting like hyperactive attention deprived two year old and act your age for once?' " "I did say that," Samantha admitted, "and I am sorry. It was out of line. I do love your goofyness. It's just that there are situations that call for you to be serious and I would like you to actually be serious at those times, for example, this is a situation which calls for serious behavior." "I was being serious," Kurt said defensively. "I didn't say you weren't," Samantha said. "I was just giving an example of a situation that calls for serious behavior." Samantha stopped walking and sighed. "What now?" Kurt asked. "I don't want to do this," Samantha said. "Fine." Kurt turned and started to walk away. "That's not what I meant," Samantha said stopping him. "The way we were talking was turning into another fight and I don't want to fight with you anymore." "I don't either," Kurt admitted. "I'm sorry that I'm kind of edgy right now. I have some ideas as to why I am but they aren't important." "Let me guess," Samantha said, "you've been replaying scenes from our big fight in which we said things that we didn't mean and you are edgy because you regret saying them and yet at the same time you are angry for the things I said to you." "That might be part of it," Kurt replied. "How'd you guess?" "Easy," Samantha told him. "It's what I've been doing." By this time, the two found themselves outside of Kurt's apartment building. "Wanna come up?" he asked Samantha. "Yeah," Samantha told him. "I think that this conversation would be better held in your apartment where there are less prying ears. Besides, I think I left one of my notebooks here last time I was over. I can't seem to find ir anywhere else." Neither one said a word as they made their way to Kurt's apartment. "I'm sorry I called you a spoiled brat," Kurt said as he grabbed a soda from the fridge. "Want one?" he asked. "Do you have a water?" Samantha asked. Kurt grabbed a bottle and tossed it at Samantha. "I'm sorry that I called you a mannerless pig." "I kind of liked that one," Kurt said jokingly. "It helps my manly image." "Yeah, ok," Samantha said sarcastically. "Like you really have one of those." "I do to," Kurt said. "Where do you think I get me street cred?" "You're a dork," Samantha told him. "Ego much?" "I gained credibility for landing the sweetest girl in the city," Kurt said. "That's just in the tabloids," Samantha told him. "You've never been thug enough to have much 'cred' in the streets. They don't take you seriously." "I'm not thug?" Kurt asked. Samantha shook her head. "I am so thug." "If you have to convince others that you are thug, you aren't," Samantha said. "Sorry." Kurt made a face at Samantha. "Actually, I think that Jade is more thug than you." "That's it, you're gonna pay for that last comment." Kurt put his pop can down and then tackled Samantha onto the couch and started poking her in her ticklish spots. Samantha laughed and poked him right back. It took Samantha a minute to wrestle free of Kurt. He chased her around the room. They both eventually ran out of breath and collapsed next to eachother on the couch. "Hey stranger," Kurt said turning to look Samantha in the face. "Hi," Samantha replied. The next thing Samantha knew, she and Kurt were kissing. "I missed you," she said when Kurt pulled away. "I missed you too," Kurt replied. Just then Samantha caught sight of the clock. "Crap," she exclaimed. "What?" Kurt asked. "I've got class in fifteen minutes," Samantha said, standing up and heading towards the door. "Hold up a sec," Kurt told her. "I'll give you a ride." Kurt grabbed his keys. "There is one condition though," he told her blocking the front door. Samantha kissed him quickly. "I don't have time for your conditions," she told him. "I'm gonna be late! We can deal with everything else later." "Be my girlfriend again," Kurt said. "I want you in my life." "Would I be kissing you right now if I had no intention of getting back together with you?" Samantha asked him. Kurt smiled. He kissed Samantha one more time and then they rushed out of the apartment and to Kurt's motorcycle. "Samantha and Kurt, back together at last," Samantha thought as they raced through the streets of Gotham on the motorcycle. "The world once again is as it should be, or at least, my world is as it should be. Jade's on the other hand, might be a different story." - Mood:relieved

| It was getting late and Jade was about to get ready to go out patrolling when there was a knock at her door. A little confused as to who would be coming over at as late an hour as it was, Jade opened the door. Samantha was there with tears streaming down her cheeks. “Sammy, what’s wrong?” Jade asked concerned. “Kurt and I had a big fight and I think we just broke up,” Samantha said crying. Jade stood there stunned. That was one thing that she had never expected to hear. “Come in,” she told Samantha. After Jade closed the door, she pulled Samantha into a hug. “Wanna talk about it?” Jade asked Samantha. Samantha walked over and sat on the edge of Jade’s bed. Jade brought her a box of tissues. “It was a stupid fight, what started it I don’t even remember,” Samantha said between blows of her nose. “We were fighting and kept fighting and then we went our separate ways and we are not together anymore.” “I always said you were too good for him,” Jade said with a small smile. Samantha gave her a “don’t even start with that” look. “I’m sorry,” Jade said. “Couldn’t resist. Are you okay?” “I don’t know,” Samantha answered. “I really don’t know.” “Wanna do what I always do when I am feeling crappy?” Jade asked. Samantha shrugged. Jade left the room and returned moments later with a carton of chocolate ice cream, two spoons, and a bottle of whipped cream. “Situations like these call for comfort food,” Jade said handing Samantha one of the spoons. “Thanks,” Samantha muttered. She scooped a big scoop of ice cream and stuck it in her mouth. “This will only work for so long, you know,” she told Jade, “otherwise I will gain like 60 pounds.” “You won’t ever gain that much weight,” Jade told her. “If you do, I will make fun of you for being fat.” “No you can’t,” Samantha told her. “I didn’t make fun of you when you decided to go emo for that half a year.” “I did not go emo,” Jade argued. “Yes, you did,” Samantha insisted. “It was right after you found out that Bruce was your father. You went to your parent’s house and hid from the world. I had to get Alfred to give you your Christmas present.” “Okay, so maybe I went a little emo,” Jade admitted. “And I have to say, you better no or risk pain of torture.” “You won’t torture me,” Samantha told her. “You wouldn’t be able to find me.” Jade wasn’t able to reply. Jade's second cell phone rang while Samantha was talking. This one was the one used by Jamie and the other people who patrolled with them at night. It was Knights cell phone. “We’re needed at a jewel heist,” Jamie told her. “I’ll be ready in a minute,” Jade told him. "Meet you in five." She hung up her phone. “Wanna join us?” she asked Samantha. “Not tonight,” Samantha replied. “I’m probably just going to go hang out at Ryan’s for a little while. Ilana’s usually pretty good at cheering me up.” “Call you if you need anything,” Jade said as she disappeared out the window. Samantha sat on Jade’s bed for a little while before putting the ice cream away and heading to Ryan’s. Ryan and Marie were out when Samantha got there. She took over for the babysitter, who was more than happy to leave early. Ilana loved playing with her aunt. She kept Samantha’s mind off of her fight with Kurt. Samantha finally got Ilana to bed around ten. Once Ilana went to bed, Samantha turned on the tv. She flipped through a bunch of channels before settling on a chick flick. Ryan and Marie returned home around midnight. They were both a little surprised to see Samantha there instead of the babysitter. “How come you’re here?” Ryan asked. “I needed a distraction,” Samantha said. “It’s been a long day.” Marie sensed that Samantha wanted to talk to her brother alone so she went to check on Ilana. “What’s wrong?” Ryan asked sitting next to Samantha on the couch. “Kurt and I broke up today,” Samantha said. “I’m sorry,” Ryan told her. “You doing okay?” “Yeah,” Samantha replied. “Jade fed me ice cream and then when she left with Jamie to go patrol, I came here.” Samantha and Ryan sat in a comfortable silence for a while before Samantha decided that she was going to go home and go to bed. Samantha walked home instead of calling for Lorenzo to come pick her up. She didn’t mind walking. She was used to doing it a lot at night when she was patrolling. It was weird to think of herself as single. She had been with Kurt for so long. Samantha was still thinking about Kurt when she got home. Feeling down, she got ready for bed and then cried herself to sleep. - Mood:depressed

| So, life has been so busy lately that I haven’t had time to breathe, which is why I haven’t updated in like forever. School is a pain in the butt. I still need to decide my major… yeah, gave up what I originally wanted to do and now have no idea what I am going to do. Maybe something in the forensic field… I don’t know. Ilana is soooo cute and she is getting sooo big. I can’t believe that she is already 6 months old. Speaking of I can’t believe, Kurt and my 2 year anniversary is coming up. It seems like we’ve been together a lot longer than that and at the same time it seems like we just started dating a week or so ago. I gotta come up with something to give Kurt. Maybe Jade and I can go shopping. We’re taking a private jet and going to Italy for Spring Break. I cannot wait. Time go faster so we can be relaxing in Italy. I close my eyes and can almost picture it, almost… I can’t wait. The weather has gotten warmer which has made patrolling a bit more nice. I don’t see Jade as much though cuz she is always pairing up with Jamie. It seems like we never see each other anymore. We really need this trip to Italy, we need some girls only time. Speaking of Jamie, I don’t know how two people can be soo oblivious. Everybody who sees the two of them can tell immediately that they are both crazy about each other. One of them just needs to get up the courage and tell the other person. They’ve been dancing around the idea since Jade started hanging out at the ice cream shop after play rehearsals (and don’t think about denying it Jade because everyone knows that it is true) If they take much longer, I think that Kurt is planning an intervention which I think will be the most hilarious thing that I have ever seen. Jade agreeing to anything Kurt says has like 1 in a million probability of happening. Well, my busy life is calling me back. Gotta go do homework and get some studying done so I don’t fail. I’ll attempt to post a little more frequently, but who know how well that will work. | |

| Samantha: Busy day? Jade: Yeah, btw, if I ever say I need a dress and don’t ask you to go with me, please shoot me. Samantha: Was it that bad? Jade: Worse. Ed said the white while the store clerk tried to talk me into the most expensive. Samantha: Who’s Ed? Jade: Reporter. Asking me about something, I don’t remember. Samantha: You have reporters following you into dress stores? Kurt: Here you go, baby. *hands her ice cream* Samantha: Thanks. Jade: *takes sip of milk shake* Every since I legally changed my name, I’ve had to deal with the press. I figure I should use them for something. Kurt: She’s become quite a celebrity in Gotham. Jade: Yes, breaking up with celebrity Chris whatever is my best attribute to date. *sirens blar as cars tear past ice cream shop *well, duty calls. Enjoy your date, I’ll handle this. *waves goodbye and leaves* Kurt: Glad she’s gone. Samantha: Hurry up with your ice cream. We’ve got to help out. *Roof of Police Station* Jade: What’s up commissioner *sipping milkshake* Gordon: *eyeing drink* How long am I stuck with you? He never drank on the job. Jade: Want some? Gordon: No, thank you. We’re getting reports of metahuman breakout. Just a rumor but we’re taking precautions. Jade: When? Gordon: The date’s unclear. The broadcast just said “the time is near to realize our sisters and brothers.” Jade: A metahuman cult? Anyone specific? Gordon: No exclusively. We do have a transfer of metahumans from Metropolis arriving in two days. Jade: I’ll look it up. Now, what’s with the sirens on 31st street? Gordon: Armed robbery. Nothing big. *explosion two blocks away nearly knocks Jade from her ledge* Gordon: What the devil - ? Oh, you’re gone. Definitely learned from him. *site of explosion* Jade: I hate fires. Shadow: Me too. Jade: Am I glad you’re here. We need to evacuate the apartment building next to this one. Shadow: Rodger that. Thief: *comes running out of the flame ridden building* The bomb seemed to originate from the rooms to the back left. It’s totally destroyed beck there. Jade: You are stupid for going in there. Now help us evacuate the apartment building. Thief: *sticks his tongue out at Jade and then scampers up the fire escape on the apartment building Jade: *fires grapple hook, races up the side of the building, making a face at him as she beats him up to the roof* Shadow: Real mature, guys *follows* It’s like babysitting kindergardners. Jade: If we split up, we’ll get more people. The fire fighters can handle the fire. The police can handle the cause. Thief: Whatever you say, Bat-chick. Jade: *glares @ him* It’s Knight, if you MUST refer to me. Shadow: Oh? You decided? I was rather fond of Midnight… Jade (or Knight, whichever): Really? I though that was a joke… *A scream interrupts this unnessasary conversation* Jade: I got it. See if there is anyone else. *Jumps off building, grabbing hold of her hookline. She pulls on it @just the right time to break through the window on the side, and looks for the source of the scream. She sees a woman trapped under a wood frame, screaming for help, smoke is filling the room quickly, though the fire is still a room away. She’s holding a baby* I gotcha, ma’am. *looking for a way to lift beam off of her. Jade puts her back to it, bending her kneew and lifts, straining to move the wood pillar* Can you move? *The lady nods, squirming her way out from under the beam, covering the baby.* *roof top* Shadow: Well. we got people to save *starts searching the top floor* Thief: *calls from room next to hers* We got children! Lots of ‘em! Shadow: *runs over to look. A dozen or so children have been locked in a room filling w/smoke.* no way. This is a safe neighborhood and we come across a child slavery circle? Thief: There aren’t any child slavery rings on Gotham, I’m positive Shadow: I always hate to think of the reasons WHY you know this stuff… Thief: *to boy* Who are you guys? Boy: The Big Man said we were chose, that we were special. Shadow: Special how? Girl: Abilities, powers, blessings. Thief: *curses under breath* they’re metas! Shadow: This just got complicated. Thief: No, it got complicated when we found out there were kids here, this is bordering on insanity complex. Shadow: I wish Knight hadn’t gone off w/out giving us her new frequency, we’re going to need help getting these kids out and FAST. Relic: *runs up* Someone call for help Shadow: We need to get these kids out now and make sure that no one sees them. Relic: Why are they so important? Shadow: They’re metas. Relic: *with an air of sarcastic enthusiasm* Great. Thief: Hurry, the fires spreading. *The three work on getting the kids out and to a group of police officers. When about half were out Jade shows back up.* Jade: What’s with the all the kids? Shadow: They’re metas. *pauses as Jade swears* We’ve gotten about half of them out so far. Relic and Thief are getting some out as we speak. Jade: Lets go. *Knight, Shadow, and Thief slowly evacuate the rest of the children. However, as Jade lowers two more to the ground (fire spreading to the staircase forces them to carry the kids out the window on their cables making the going slow), she’s hit on the side and send to the ground. She lands on her back leaving them unharmed. She let’s them run to the others while she picks herself up* Shadow: *climbing down above her* LOOK OUT! Knight: Huh? *gets hit again but by some sort of blaster* Ah! That hurts! ????: It should. I put it where it hurts. Knight: And just who are you? ????: Sydney. The blonde bomber of Gotham City and you’ve got your dirty hands all over my kids! Shadow: *swinging down* As if you took care of them *kicks her* Sydney: Little brat! *blasts her* Thief: Don’t blast my girlfriend, you freak! *goes crazy on her, haha* Sydney: The time is near to realize our sisters and brothers! *flies off. If you recal, that’s what Gordon said the message said. Bum bum BUM!!! sorry, it’s late; anyway…* Knight: *rubbing the bruise on the back of her neck* What the heck? Are the kids okay? Thief: Yeah, they’re good. But we need to get them onto protective custody. Shadow: I’ll get Relic to take care of it. And Thief, next time you feel the need to announce our involvement to our arch foes, be advised you won’t be able to brag for very long. Knight: I’ll…be over there while you discuss relationship issues. For the record, I agree with whatever Shadow says *walks over to Gordon, standing by* So, can we place them in foster care? Gordon: *sighs* There’s a dozen of them, all metas all need special looking after that frankly we’re short of right now. All personalle authorized with dealing with metahumans are busy preparing for the transport in two days. Knight: Meaning…they’re probably be left with some day care worker and if that blone bimbo wants them bad enough she’ll just take them. Gordon: I’m always amused with your predictions of the future. Will you take them? Knight: Are you kidding? I…*thinking “I HATE kids…”* I have a job to do I’ll leave then with…*thinking “I can’t leave them with Kurt w/out Kurt needing supervision…Samantha won’t take them without insisting I help her, and I owe too many favors to leave them with anyone else.”* *sighs* I’m leaving them in the care of the Wayne family. Gordon: *surprised* The Wayne family? Knight: I’m aquainted w/Mr. Wayne, having saved him numerous times. The owe me. They have the space and I can keep an easier eye on them. Have them sent over to Wayne Manner, I’ll contact them shortly* Goes back to Shadow and Thief and explains* Thief: Your babysitting? This should be good! Kurt: *to Shadow* I’ll be out for the rest of the night but call me if you need help. I can trust Alfred with them for a little bit. Shadow: We got it covered, Knight. Take care of the kids and get some rest while you’re at it. | |

| Jade: Don’t know yet. That thug called me warrior chick. Shadow: Doesn’t seem to fit. Jade: *laughs* Didn’t think so. Shadow: *teasing* Maybe Griffin can help you Jade: Yeah, I’m going to ask someone whose name sucks to help name my, right. Shadow: *laughts* Why not, Warrior Chick Jade: Shut up Shadow: If you say so, Warrior Chick Jade: I can kill you and get away with it Samantha: Yeah, a member of the Bat’s crew kills one of the rich girls of Gotham. The Bat would kill you. Jade: Well then it’s a good thing he’s gone for the summer Samantha: Awe, he’s gonna miss the wedding Jade: I’m outta here *starts to leave* Samantha: Hey Midnight Jade: *pauses* Samantha: It’s good to be back Jade: It’s good to have you back. *next day* James: Alright, let’s take it from the top. Jade: *reading lines* I honestly don’t understand! Alan: *also reading lines* Of course you don’t. No woman in the world could understand! Jade: Why are you being so mean? Alan: Always questioning, always playing the fool. A fool is a fool who plays the fool. Ben: *runs onstage* Sir, the barn’s on fire. James: Stop! Ben, your reporting to the barn, holding everything needed to escape the woods, is on fire. It needs to be a heart stopping moment for the audience. Put some emotion into it! *sighs* Take a break everyone. Jade:*Cell phone rings* Hello? Sammy: Three tickets to the Russian Ballet in town this weekend. Jade: No way! Samantha: Dad’s treat. Wanna go? Jade: YES! Samantha: You need your fanciest dress. Pick you up at 6:30 on Friday, we’ll have dinner. Jade: Cool. See you then. (P.S. it’s Jade, Samantha, and Kurt) Alan: What’s the gossip? Jade: Huh? Alan: Usually when a girl exclaims “No way!” when she’s on the phone she’s getting some juicy gossip. Jade: Actually I was getting invited to the Russian Ballet. Alan: No way! Jade: *laughs* James: *yells* okay people, back to work! *later that day* Ryan: Is Jade coming with us? Samantha: Yeah, hey did my dress come yet? Ryan: Not that I know of, but I haven’t been here all day. Samantha: I’ll check with Lorenzo. Let me know if it comes. Ryan: Will do *a little while later* Ryan: *at his computer, playing online* Samantha: Ryan Ryan: Yeah Samantha: I can’t forget, no matter how hard I try. Ryan: *sighs and tries to think of something to say* Samantha: I think I need to talk to him. Ryan: What!? Samantha: I think the only way I can move on is to confront him. Ryan: *sighs* Do you want me to come with you? Samantha: To Tyra, but I want to talk to him alone. Ryan: When? Samantha: After the Ballet. Ryan: I’ll make the arrangements. Samantha: Thank you. Ryan: Anything to help you. *Elsewhere in Gotham* Jade: Crapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrap *running to avoid being shot* *jumps over car, flips and throws batarangs at the shooter. He falls to the ground, Jade kicks away the gun, tieing him and throwing him next to his partner* *thinks “I’m going to have to get used to working so hard” * *after she changes* Jade: Let’s see, what was I doing? Oh, yeah, buying a dress with Bruce’s credit card. (she switches between “Bruce” and “Dad” subcongiously) ???: Jade? Jade Knight? Jade: *turns* Yes? ???: Ed Jakobs from Gotham Journal. Could I have a minute of your time? Jade: *checks watch* well, if you don’t mind if I shop, I’ll answer any questions. But I’m on a time crunch is all. Ed: I understand. I noticed you haven’t been seen with new celebrity Chris (forgot how to spell last name). Jade: Oh. Yes, he and I haven’t seen each other in a while. Ed: Are you two still a couple? Jade: Wow, what part of the Journal is this going in? Ed: On the website for celebrity news. Jade: Oh. No, Chris and I decided against continuing the relationship, him being on the tour and me being very busy here in Gotham. Ed: Rumors are you two had a serious falling out. Jade: *trying to contain her temper* Chris and I are still friends. We email and char when we can. Do I look better in green or red? Ed: I like the blue one actually. Jade: *mumbles* Always the blue one. Ed: So the rumors aren’t true? Jade: There was a disagreement but we patched things up. I’m going to the Russian Ballet so be honest *holds up dresses* white with beaded flowers or pink with crystals? Store Clerk: Pink definitely. Ed: I really like the white one. Try it on. Jade: *tries them on* so? Store Clerk: Pink. Ed: White. Jade: *sighs* *thinks “I should have brought Sammy.”* *scene change* *streets of Gotham* Kurt: It is really nice not to have to travel three hours by train to see you. Samantha: It’s good to be back Kurt: *takes Samantha’s hand* so what do you want to do tonight? Samantha: I want…ice cream Kurt: Ice cream? Samantha: Chocolate ice cream is the best ice cream. | These are the pages that I found on my bookshelf. The purple color is your writing, black is me, and the blue is when you said it was me writing but it really was you, you just wanted to make it seem like you didn’t write as much as you actually did. Part 4 *A year after Samantha leaves Gotham, her “welcome home” greeting. Samantha’s house* Jade: *holding a pop, talking on a cell* Alright. Okay. Love you too bye. Kurt: *coming up behind her* Loverboy? Jade: *glares @ him* Dad. He was boarding his plane. Kurt: So you’re calling him “Dad” now? Jade: Fine, Bruce, whatever. Look, I’m not too happy about what happened – Kurt: Me neither. You think I like - ? Jade: I don’t care. You may be dating my best friend but that doesn’t mean that I have to like you. Not one mention of what happened with Alex, not one. Get me? Kurt: Hey, you knew exactly who I was. I didn’t know you were *drops voice to a wisper* Batgirl Jade: Well, I’m not anymore. And the city is mine this summer so do your best to stay out of it! Amy: *peering through the curtains* They’re here!! Jade: Finally. Kurt: I’d love to continue to listen to your wrath being brought upon me but I have a girlfriend to kiss. Which is more than you can say, or so I’ve heard. *is slapped by Jade, who storms off* *outside* Samantha: It is so good to be back. Ryan: Tell me about it. Samantha: So how long do you think it will be until Jade’s over here? Ryan: My guess is that she’ll make her grand entrance sometime within the next five minutes. Samantha: Probably *opens the door* Group: SURPRISE!!! Jade: Welcome home! *runs and hugs Samantha* Samantha: thanks Kurt: *pushes Jade to the side* It’s my turn *grabs Samantha, dips her and kisses her* Jade: Show off. Ryan: Okay… Samantha: Wow! Colin: *mumbles* I don’t know if I like that. Marie: Welcome home *kisses Ryan* Jade: Hello Mr. J! Colin: Hello Jade. Jade: Seems that I’m supposed to kiss you but I’m not going to. Colin: *laughs* Well, thanks anyway. *Later* Samantha: Where’s Chris. You know he could have come. Jade: He’s touring this summer. Samantha: Oh. So in what cities are we going to fly out and see him? Jade: *shakes head* No, not this summer. *is silent* Samantha: So…*pauses* Oh, are you still…? Jade: No. We’re not. He said he didn’t want me to have to wait for him. I called him a coward, among other names. Samantha: Oh Jade, I’m sorry *hugs her* at least Bruce will get off your case. Jade: Bruce is gone all summer. Tim’s with the Titans. Barbara and Dick have moves to Blüdhaven. Samantha: A lot’s changed. Jade: You have no idea. Samantha: If you get lonely my door is always open. Actually, Dad and Ryan probably won’t object to you staying with us. It’s not like we don’t have spare bed rooms. Jade: I’ll keep that in mind. *mischievously* So is your blabbermouth cousin going to come visit? Samantha: Gosh I hope not. She makes you on a sugar high look like a perfect angel. Jade: Hey Samantha: Have you seen yourself on a sugar high? Ryan: *walks up to the girls* This was in my stuff *hands something to Samantha* Samantha: Thanks Ryan: Not a problem *leaves* Jade: What is it? Samantha: It’s a picture of us at that charity ball that Mark crashed. Jade: We looked hot that night Samantha: ‘til Mark and his goons showed up. Hey, is Bruce still going to have you go to that boarding school next year? Jade: I dunno. I haven’t talked to Dad about it yet. Samantha: You’re calling him Dad now? Jade: He is my father. Samantha: Yeah, you’re right. It’s just surprising. Kurt: *comes over and puts arm around Samantha* and what are you girls gossiping about? Jade: Your inability to leave us alone. Kurt: Ouch. Why so cold, Cyclops? Jade: *glares, checks watch* I gotta get going. Will I see you tonight or are you taking it off? Samantha: Do you need help? Jade: Nah. *cell rings: she answers* Be right there, Alfred, *hangs up* Good to have you back Samantha. Give my regards to your brother and father. *leaves* Samantha: Why do you go out of your way to annoy her? Kurt” ‘cuz it’s fun. Samantha: *rolls her eyes* just lay off around me please Kurt: Fine, but I’m only doing this for you. Samantha: And I thank you for it. *kisses his cheek and then goes to join the guests who are still there* *later that day* Samantha: *Works on unpacking boxes in her room. Stops and rubs a scar on her arm* Ryan: You need to stop thinking about it. Samantha: It’s kind of hard to forget something like that. Ryan: I know, you need to let it go. Don’t let it control you. Samantha: I’m working on it. Ryan: If you ever want to talk… Samantha: I know. Please don’t say anything. Ryan: I already swore to silence and secrecy. *Wayne Manor* Jade: *suiting up in a new suit* I’ll be back probably around two or so. If I need anything, I’ll call. Alfred: Very well, Miss Jade. Well, that is a different outfit. Jade: Barbara took her’s back, I needed a new one. You like? Alfred: Very nice. Good luck. And please don’t kill yourself. Jade: No promises. *jumps on motorcycle and drives away* *Gotham City* Thieves: Hurry, hurry. Before the Bat shows up. Jade: Too late. Thief 1: Your not the bat. Jade: No, but I have the exact same job. Thief 2: I’m not scared of you. Thief 1: Yeah, that chick is no where near as intimidating as the bat. ????: How ‘bout two chicks? Thief 1: Not particularly. Jade: Hey Shadow. Shadow: You go right I go left. *Shadow and Jade apprehend the two thiefs and drop them off at the police station* Shadow: Thanks for some entertainment Jade: Board with unpacking? Shadow: No, there’s no appeal. Nice outfit. Almost didn’t recognize you. Jade: You like it? I wondered how I’d look with shorter hair. Shadow: It’s a good wig. Jade: I haven’t decided if it is permanent yet. Shadow: So what do I call you now? | |

| For those of you who have never had to deal with a baby, be warned...THEY CAN BE MONSTERS!!!! My little cousin is driving me crazy. She is either crying constantly or wanting to be held constantly. I am used to getting little sleep but not sleeping for 3 WHOLE DAYS is too much. I understand now why Ryan and Marie skipped town for a week. Aren't babies supposed to be these sweet little things that do nothing but sleep??? I think that i am going and crashing at Jade's tonight...leave my dad and Lorenzo to take care of Ilana. I need my sleep. Can't Ryan come home soon? If I go crazy or are no longer alive by the end of the week, u'll know why... - Mood:aggravated
 - Music:the sounds of an infant crying

| So I realized something yesterday, Kurt and my two year anniversary is in like a week and a half. Time seems to have flown by and yet two years ago seems like a life time ago. So much has changed in two years and yet some things are still the same. Jade and I are still the best of friends, she still can't do math, and bad guys are still stupid ehough to think that they can get away with a crime in Gotham. Ilana is getting so big. She babbles on and on in baby talk. She's going to be a handful when she starts walking.
On a different note, Dad went of a date yesterday. He seems happy but him dating is just too wierd for me. Ryan doesn't seem to have a problem with it. Cassandra seems to be really nice and I'm happy that Dad is happy but there is this idea in the back of my head that says that he is betraying Mom. I know that it is irrational. Mom would want him to be happy. I don't want him to be alone either though. I'm getting older and it won't be that long til I'm going to be moving out on my own. College isn't that far off. I don't know. I'll keep you updated as things progress. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself and jumping to conclusions...whatever. Got to go. Lorenzo is out of town for a few days which means that I'm on my own if I want food. I is hungry. | |
